The Formicary: Dr. Inés Dawson
Today we talk with Dr. Inés Dawson who holds her Ph.D in the Biomechanics of Insect Flight from the University of Oxford. Originally from Spain, Dr. Dawson is known throughout the internet as the Science Communicator DrawCuriosity. In this episode she talks about her love for insects as a child, being told there were more appropriate research topics than insects for a woman, her love for math, the use of lasers and high speed cameras in her research, bee pee, fly copulation, and her journey into science communication.
